COSTA DEL SOL GUIDE
The Costa del Sol Guide is for anyone and everyone, whether just visiting or planning a much longer stay! This site is written by people who have lived in Spain since 1998, bought properties here, played golf, eaten out, even conceived and given birth to their children here. By people who have dealt with the little and sometimes larger snags and bureaucracies first hand but overall, enjoyed every minute.
For those who are just visiting, please use our Costa del Sol guide for information on hotels, accommodation, golf, restaurants, beaches, areas of interest and of course, shopping.
Maybe you are planning a longer stay and considering a permanant relocation to the Costa del Sol? We have all of the above plus Real Estate recommendations, lawyers, essential tips on living in Spain and a guide to each major town along the coast for you to check out before you "check in"!
With more than 300 days of sunshine per year, over 60 golf courses, a multitude of sandy beaches, restaurants and activities galore, it is hard not to fall in love with the Costa del Sol. The schools and education leave some in the United Kingdom standing so if your children are a concern, they need not be.
With long hours of daylight up to 10.30pm in the summer and 7-8pm in the winter, you will never find yourself at a loss for things to do, especially with the kids. The Costa del Sol really is the place to be if you are an outside person who enjoys sports, walking, sightseeing or virtually any other leisure activity that we will cover in this Costa del Sol Guide.
There is an ever-growing community of "foreign" Europeans arriving on the Costa del Sol. From England, Ireland, Scandinavia, Germany, in fact most northern European countries with their grey climate and short days are seeing an exodus to sunnier climes whether it is just a short holiday or a full relocation. This can only help the community, economy and general well being of the Costa del Sol in the long run.
