Alcaidesa Links Golf Course

Alcaidesa golf course is the only links course in Southern Spain and is the most Southerly in Europe. It is also the most westerly golf course on the Costa del Sol.

Alcaidesa golf course was built in 1992 and is located near the pueblo town of San Roque on the Costa del Sol. The stunning views to the sea, Gibraltar and the Atlas mountain range in Africa set it well apart from all other courses on the coast in terms of scenery.

At just par 70 and a low slope rating, it may not be the most challenging course but we suggest that it is well worth a visit.

This hilly course snakes and winds alongside the beautiful Mediterranean sea, and has a total of four beachside holes. The greens are always in immaculate condition and the fairways kept in good shape with lush, green grass.

Alcaidesa Golf Course is quite close to Gibraltar, so depending on where you are staying, a car is almost certainly recommended. Alcaidesa itself is a relatively new town (as at 2005) so don´t be surprised at the lack of facilities outside of the clubhouse.
