Guadalhorce Golf Course
Guadalhorce Golf Course was built in 1990 and is well known for its friendly, family atmosphere. The Par 72 golf course was designed by Kosti Kuronen and each half of the course is distinctive and different in its approach.
The front nine at Guadalhorce Golf Club is very much like a traditional English parkland course but of course, with more tropical vegetation. The back nine is the more difficult half, with its undulating fairways, water hazards, and raised greens, many of which prove difficult with some being very large. A couple of holes at Guadalhorce Golf Course share very large greens.
The course also has a par 3, 9-hole practice course and is located about 7 km from Malaga airport.
If you get fed up with losing balls on some of the Costa del Sol's more challenging courses, I suggest that you give this course a try. One thing I noticed in particular was the beautiful silence and distinct lack of building work that led to a thoroughly enjoyable round.
