Las Brisas Golf Club
The course at Las Brisas Golf Club was designed by Robert Trent Jones, and includes numerous water obstacles. The course has ten artificial lakes which are all fed by two streams. The greens, of which most are raised, are amply and well protected by bunkers of the highest quality. The results of Robert Trent Jones’ efforts were truly original and notable in obtaining a difficult and attractive course. Playing well at Las Brisas Golf Club requires you to play a truly accurate game of golf.
Although this is a private members club, available to those purchasing golf shares in Las Brisas, I have been fortunate enough to play a couple of rounds here as a guest.
There is an immediate feeling of class, comfort and all the "old-time" golf values when you enter the club. Mobile phones are not allowed to be switched on anywhere on the course and etiquette is pre-requisite.
It would be an idea to do your homework before playing here as some of the holes can really catch you out if you are not careful. It is a truly professional course.
Saying that, being a 14 handicapper when I played here, I found the round thoroughly enjoyable and walkable as we played in some of the finest, greenest and plushest surroundings on the Costa del Sol.
Las Brisas Golf Club has an excellent website where you can find all the details that you need with regard to memberships, tee-times and a map of each hole on the course with ample description to help you on your way.
