Miraflores Golf Course
As with many of the newer golf courses on the Costa del Sol, Miraflores Golf Course is surrounded by new urbanisations and developments. There is a veritable property boom happening around this course but don't let that put you off.
It is because of this that I am always put off playing here but once I am on the course and playing, it is never how I remembered it. I like this course.
Miraflores Golf Course is built on very rugged and undulating terrain and will present a challenge even to the most seasoned golfers. By simply standing on the first tee you will see what I mean.
I have teed off on this hole in front of a large group during a competition and there is nothing more daunting. On either side of the narrow fairway you have a row of villas but to make it more worrying, the par 4 green is reachable in one hit.
Be careful though as the fairway turns gently to the right but is also a fair drop to the green and the big hitters, if accurate, could pitch it!
To finish, the 18th is almost the exact opposite, except uphill! The lay of the course means that a buggy is recommended as many of the holes are quite elevated.
I have always found Miraflores Golf Course to be in tip top condition and once you see past the ever increasing and surrounding urbanisations, you will enjoy a great round of golf here.
